Honestly, how can we vote in this?

We may have a good idea of what goes on in one, maybe two, corps, but no one has worked with every brass staff in open class.

All this poll is good for is padding egos.

So true.

Maybe it's based off of performance ie. If the staff did their job?

The OP probably put this up because he was bored, so don't feel offended.

I just wanted to say I voted for Capital Sound for obvious reasons, we were at the top of Division III brass last year with half the number of brass Memphis Sound had

yes but all those corps continued 2 weeks later than we did. when we finished, we were at the top of division III brass

It's a bit difficult to distinguish that. That last show for CS was 7/28? Between 7/23 and 7/28 all of CS's shows were D1 shows, with CS being the only D3 corps. On 7/23 CS was on top of DB in brass, but on 7/28, CS's brass was at a 15 while MS and Revo's were 17.1 and 16 the day before respectively. Prior to that, the last time the three corps were at the same show, CS was third in brass, about 3 points under both Revo and MS.

What does this mean? Absolutely nothing, except that at the time given, based on scores, it's difficult to determine exactly where CS was in regards to the rest of the division simply because CS played it solo on their last stretch of tour. Bad thing? No, but difficult to compare.

I never saw the show, so I can't comment on CS's quality at that time.

Yeah I agree, with so many score variances around the US, without corps at the same show it would be difficult to compare any of them

Well if it was based off performance then the thread should be titled "Best Hornlines of 2007."
