Matthew Posted June 4, 2008 Share Posted June 4, 2008 I'm not sure if DCI has posted any information on the tabulation of how the 5 judges will work, but my question is: How will the scores work with 5 captions: GE Music + GE Visual = 40 points possible ------------------- Visual Ensemble = 20 points possible Music Ensemble = 20 points possible Percussion = 20 points possible Those ensemble captions are normally averaged in with their performance counterparts to make the score for the entire VISUAL or MUSIC caption. The percussion caption normally averages in with the Music Brass and Ensemble score. For DCP purposes, will you just be adding GE+Visual+Music+Perc sense it already adds up to 100 points possible? If we still need "captions", allow me to recommend: GE Music + GE Visual = High GE (obvious) - 40.0 points possible GE Visual + Ensemble Visual = High Visual - 40.0 points possible GE Music + Ensemble Music + Percussion = High Music - 60.0 points possible This would provide caption awards...
