RobRoy
I can remember going through full retreat in Fla in 1987 almost gagging at the smell of those uniforms. The cadets uni's in 87 were old and they were afraid of washing as they might not last through the cycleThey all would hang their uni's up and give them a "Lysol Shower" If I recall we had the uniforms cleaned once midseason and once before Finals. We smelled so bad in uniform we could hardly stand to be near eachother.
WWonka
There was a reason Black Gold had another nick name: Black Mold. I would think the washable unis a lot of corps use now days would fix a lot this.

ouooga
Drum corps smells. It's a smelly activity. I agree with the op's theory about the 04/05 smelliness. However, uniforms or not, the smelliest part of drum corps is the bus. More show sites need showers! When 150 members perform, then take off what was under their uniform and leave it on the bus, and then generally just sleep, that's when you start getting some funk!
