We did a basics package where we were in a circle and everyother person went in/out the left/right.. and return. is that what u mean? well if it is we did one every so often in basics in the morning.. Beatty
We never did any circle drill last year. Something to do with the fact that it involved guiding, and that guiding was a big No-No in the corps last season.

hboyce
Circle drill is used for arc dress and interval control. As far as I remember we did it every day before visual block on tour.
jamoline
ugh, boo circle drill! I swear our staff just did it to torture us :D We did it on occasion to work touch and goes and to stress guiding and the importance of flat shoulders in keeping the circle. BlooooContra
Ahhh... the memories of circle drill. In the 2000 Bluecoats, 98% of our basics sessions consisted of only circle drill. Watch the videos and see what THAT produces. In 2001 we ditched the circle drill completely and look what happened. B) Needless to say, progress is a wonderful thing. Dave
The corps (or hornline, or drumline, or whatever) is set in the form of a circle, with all members facing the center of the circle. The corps marches in whatever pattern of in, out, left, right, etc. that the staff says, trying to maintain the circle and their intervals, and keep their shoulders flat to the inside when sliding.
