TomMoore Posted October 14, 2008 Share Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) Thanks to center snare Matt Urquhart, who generously shares his 'other' talents with his corps, the Buccaneers are proud to present the following Membership Day 2009 promo video: Click here to view the video: BUCCANEERS TO HOST MEMBERSHIP DAY 2009 Annual Open House Set For Sunday, November 30, 2008 READING, PA (October 13, 2008) – The four-time defending Drum Corps Associates world champion Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps today announced the scheduling of the corps’ annual membership open house, MEMBERSHIP DAY 2009. The annual event will take place on Sunday, November, 30, 2008, at Twin Valley High School, in Elverson, PA. Registration begins at 11:00, and the program will run from noon until 6 p.m. At Membership Day, the corps will announce its 2009 repertoire and introduce the creative and design staff to prospective members. The corps previously announced that the entire 2008 world championship design and instructional leadership team will return to lead the corps in 2009. After these announcements, guests will split into their respective sections to begin work on the 2009 season, in which the corps will defend its 2008 world championship. “All of us in the Buccaneers family extend a hearty welcome to all to join us for Membership Day,” said Corps Director James C. Gruber. “Membership Day is always a great day. If you’re curious about being part of a world championship organization devoted to education, entertainment, enrichment and excellence, then make plans to join us at Twin Valley on November 30. You’ll learn some great things about this great organization. You’ll play, drum and spin. You’ll meet the Buccaneers staff, administration and alumni. And you’ll most definitely have a great time. We have some exciting plans for 2009 and we can’t wait to get the voyage underway!” All persons interested in learning more about the Reading Buccaneers and being part of the 2009 corps are invited to attend.
