Drum Corps Lyrics

Recommended Posts

Ok next up name tune and the show or shows it was used in:

You have to learn to pace yourself

xxxxxxxx

You're just like everybody else

xxxxxxxx

You've only had to run so far

So good

But you will come to a place

Where the only thing you feel

Are loaded guns in your face

And you'll have to deal with

xxxxxxxx

You used to call me paranoid

xxxxxxxx

But even you can not avoid

xxxxxxxx

And yes I agree buc Ice Castles was sickeningly sappy!

PRESSURE!

You made me leave my happy home,

You took my love and now you're gone,

My life has been such misery and pain,

I guess I'll never be the same,

XXXXXXX, the morning sun

Slowly rises and kisses you awake

Your smile is soft and fuzzy

As you let it play upon your face

Oh, how I dream

I might be like the morning sun to you

XXXXXXX, the river wind

Sighs and ripples its fingers through your hair

Upon your cheek it lingers

Never having known a sweeter place

Oh, how I dream

I might be like the river wind to you

How I envy a cup that knows your lips

Let it be me, my love

And a table that feels your fingertips

Let it be me, let me be your love

Bring an end to the endless days and nights

Without you

XXXXXXX, the velvet moon

Shares your pillow and watches while you sleep

Its light arrives on tiptoe

Gently taking you in its embrace

Oh, how I dream

I might be like the velvet moon to you

(Bridge)

Oh, how I dream

I might be like the river wind to you

How I envy a cup that knows your lips

Let it be me, my love

And a table that feels your fingertips

Let it be me, let me be your love

Bring an end to the endless days and nights

Without you

XXXXXXX, the velvet moon

Shares your pillow and watches while you sleep

Its light arrives on tiptoe

Gently taking you in its embrace

Oh, how I dream

I might be like the velvet moon to you

I might be like the velvet moon to you

I might be like the velvet moon to you

Like a Lover...Devs 1984

Which you would've played had you not skipped that year!

A shame...the alto parts were particularly tasty...sometimes I listen to the show and think maybe I should've taken the change to move to flugel when Wayne asked if any of the sops would switch -- late Jan or early Feb, IIRC.

The only time I've ever heard that chart on the radio was one day when Brad Bender's father was driving us to Mars...wierd.
