ToneDeaf
I just happened to see that the Mandarins announced their 2009 show titled "Absolute".... Anyone else think what I did? This also helps explain their uniform colors finally!
84BDsop
It could also mean a reference to Absolute Fencing...a fencing equipment supplier out of New Jersey...but only I would think that!

You're not the only one sir. (but I'm a Blue Guantlet shopper) I wonder if they are doing a show with just absolute music. A drum corps show for the sake of a drum corps show. I have to admit, if thats the route they'll choose, it seems kinda Regiment-ish. I can't wait to see it.
tommytimp
Or perhaps they're finally doing the Bartok. (He was Swedish, you know. Except not.) Edited December 17, 2008 by tommytimp
84BDsop
You're not the only one sir. (but I'm a Blue Guantlet shopper) Ahhh....goold ol' Mr Chen! Did you ever try to talk to Amanda when she was at BG, or after she started Absolute? My GOD, her accent is thick!! Even talking to her live at a NAC a few years back I had a hard time! I buy gear from Absolute on occasion (I'm an equipment vendor myself), but usually my supplier is Fencing Post....somtimes Fencing.net or Leon Paul USA

84BDsop
I've found barbed wire to be exceptionally effective. Garry in Vegas *Sigh* I could've used that last week when I was working a tournament...I was asked to direct several bouts (I'm VERY fair...I scfew everyone equally!) and had to black card one guy because he threw his gear down in anger...and the bout wasn;t even done yet. Black card = pack up & go home...all you get in the results is "fencer excluded" where your name would nornally be.
