brassomaniac
perhaps you have found the source of the original error? or... more likely Chris Maher just carried the error on... assuming the corps in ICA was GBC when in reality it was the OTHER Vagabonds The Vagabonds in ICA and DCA, in 1984-85 WAS Fort Edward ... I marched with them. See my previous posts. Edited July 14, 2009 by brassomaniac
audiodb
Drum Corps World also confirms that the Vagabonds competing in the ICA circuit in 1985 were from Fort Edward, NY.
pearlsnaredrummer77
Drum Corps World also confirms that the Vagabonds competing in the ICA circuit in 1985 were from Fort Edward, NY. The General Butler Vagabonds only did DCI shows (83-85) as mentioned before. In 83 & 84 our season ended at the American International Open (we didn't even go to DCI much less DCA or ICA) because of agreements with local band directors. In 85, we did go DCI, but that was the end of the season. Also, doesn't DCA have a rule that DCI corps cannot compete in DCA? I too am pretty sure t that the corps listed in DCA during the 80s is Ft. Edward Vagabonds.
