hairbear
Well ... let me throw this out there: Is Michael Jackson's music any more or less adaptable to drum corps than Frank Sinatra's music? Plenty of corps have done Sinatra, so I don't see any reason a corps should shy away from doing Michael Jackson's music. I think the Bluecoats have been the coolest corps in the activity lately and what they did with Smooth Criminal was awesome. And the Bushwackers gave the crowd goosebumps with "I'll Be There." In the past few hours I've been hearing MJ tunes that I forgot about that were just brilliant. The "Free Willy" soundtrack with the Gospel/African feel is a good example. Don't get caught up in his "personal" stuff, Larry King said it was all untrue. the bass line from "Billie Jean" was cool and fun to play. What a groove!!
