DCIpwnstesn00bs
Phantom was at a whole different level of musicianship. They look awesome under lights. Incredible sound from both horns and drums. Terrific brass arrangements and staging. This corps has one of my favorite drum sounds ever, and they really bring it -- tight and clean, yet wonderfully controlled. I don't quite get what the concept of the show is (did I miss the movie?), but the guard performs it really well. Quite a difference in theme from last year, but probably best to do something altogether different. Phantoms drum line trooped the stands. Awesome. Complete class and prfessionalism all the way from this corps. Who cares where they place. This is highly edible stuff! Madison setting up for encore. great to hear and yes its a film, u should check it out, good movie

ajlemm
Ah, Phantom Regiment. Can't wait to see where they score tonight. They have kind of gotten lost in the shuffle with the crazy scores coming out of Crown and BD. We'll have to see what the defending champs have to say about that. Remember, they started coming on late last year...

dmfootworks
They had a raffle for a chance for the winner to conduct the Scouts during their encore. The winner conducted 76 Trombones, which delighted the crowd, after Madison did a drum feature. They also did a piece from Jesus Christ Superstar (1999) and closed by playing and not singing, MYNWA. Cool. Drum majors are coming out now.
ajlemm
Looks like PR is coming on a little. Before west coast scores are in, Colts are sitting in 10th. Woo Hoo! And Madison is in 12th! (BK's scores will likely bump that, but lets cheer it while we can!). And look at Pioneer! They are definitely not going to finish last this year. ajlemm
Hmmm. Must be a delay in dmfootworks' postings, or else the DCI people are VERY fast at getting the scores up!
