supersop
Think about it.Just think about it. Oh yeah, that's the good stuff! Actually ...... I'm sure we could keep DRUM CORPS on the first page forever .... and how many people click POPULAR SHOWS first? Nice way to break into a new audience!!! Even if they just did the advertising segments on there for Quarterfinals and regional shows. Might be a boost to ticket sales.
mellos
How do we do this? how do we make this happen! And it cannot effect the FN! Hmmmm...ponder!
supersop
How do we do this?how do we make this happen! And it cannot effect the FN! Hmmmm...ponder! DCI would have to contact Hulu with "certain" material to air. Hulu would have to pay for the rights to air and recoup their cost through advertising dollars. Maybe Aerobed could foot the bill :P

Not only Aerobed, but all of the sponsors of DCI. VicFirth, Dynasty, Yamaha etc. I think it could actually happen!

supersop
Also keep in mind, most of the content on Hulu is rebroadcasting from network websites of material that is already made public. Nothing on DCI.org other than the short clips and behind the scenes vids are public. It would have to be a deal that benefits DCI through cross advertising with existing and new sponsors. supersop
That's totally possible. Not only Aerobed, but all of the sponsors of DCI. VicFirth, Dynasty, Yamaha etc. I think it could actually happen! This is all true ... but DCI is already making money from these sponsors and through their own website. It would have to be a venture that benefitted the sponsors to a larger audience (which this would do). It's actually a tough sell on DCI's part to the corporate sponsors and others like NAMM. You have to consider, how much revenue would DCI lose from downloads if it were available on HULU all the time? Then again, they could still charge for the live broadcasts on FN and make their bank, as well as APD's. I do think it's doable, it's just a question if DCI really wants to make the effort and spend the money.
AlexL
Ive not used hulu all that much, just for a couple shows, but isnt hulu just a partnership of a few networks to put their shows and programming online? Do they even let other parties put video online there?
