THE ORIGINAL Posted August 31, 2009 Share Posted August 31, 2009 (edited) I would love to see some more DCA and Open class corps at DCI WC shows. 4 DCA , 4 Open , 4 WC we keep getting 5/6 corps and an INT..... I can see why during the week but on weekends there should always be at least 12 corps at a show. Piper Posted August 31, 2009 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Since DCA has no age-out restriction, most corps' overall membership don't have the time that the younger DCI kids do. Hulka Posted August 31, 2009 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Music City Legend's 2008 homeshow, Music City Metal II, consisted of six DCA corps and four DCI Open Class corps. There's been a couple times MCL, Alliance and CorpVets have all performed at a DCI show so we've been close to what the OP is proposing. Tom Brace Posted August 31, 2009 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Madison's Drums On Parade has had Kilties, Minn. Brass, Chops Inc and OC and WC corps in the show. Regiment's Show of Shows has had DCA, OC and WC corps at their shows too. Not seeing this as an issue really. It's simply up to the show sponsor. CoHmempho04 Posted August 31, 2009 Share Posted August 31, 2009 CV performs at multiple DCI shows per year including the Atlanta Regional and a show either in Georgia or Alabama. DCA corps probably will only perform at a local DCI show and normally only on weekends or at earliest Friday, unless it's in the city of the corps, you most likely won't see a DCA corps perform Monday - Thursday because of the pesky jobs...
