Waaayyy back in the day(early 70's), In my anonymous Corps, it was a huge deal if we were ever to stay in a motel(usually only for State championships or long trips). On those rare occasions, it never failed that a certain member of our drum line (a poster here!) (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! !) and his girlfriend at the time,would be seen carrying lamps, sheets, etc across the parking lot towards the busses just as we were ready to pull out. I clearly remember a motel manager running after the busses as we were leaving. Nothing like an LK motel end table in the aisle for a card table!
