Where Should I Go Now?

Recommended Posts

Okay so I have found myself in yet another pickel

I was planning on marching in 2011, with Capital Regiment, well they went inactive for 2010 and likely a few more years so my plans are now jumbled.

I live in Southwest Virginia and I am primarily a Saxophonist, I have played Euphonium for marching and now concert just this year so im not very seasoned as a player but i have good M&M technique.

I am stumped where i could go and try out and make it, it needs to be within driving distance because i do not have the money to fly anywhere.

If any of you have an idea of a Open Class corps near Southwest Virginia or even a World Class corps that a inexperienced person like myself could get in, any info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Couldn't hurt to go down Greensboro, NC way and march with Carolina Gold (DCA) this season to get your chops up there and then head over to Music City in 2011.

There's also a new Open Class corps called Platinum that's starting in central NC . . .might be worth checking out.

if you are interested in world class then Jersey Surf in south Jersey would be your closest option at the lower level of world class.

For open class you could also go a little farther into Jersey and check out the Raiders.

I think teal sound is just south of you in Tampa Florida. But I'm from Cali so I don't know how long that drive would be

How about Spirit? It's about a 6-hour drive to Atlanta, but still...

I think Teal is based in Jacksonville, not Tampa. And that is still a good 10+ hour drive from virginia!
