Michael Boo Posted May 23, 2010 Share Posted May 23, 2010 Just prior to the season, it's not unusual for a corps to suddenly have openings that need to be filled ASAP. For example, I received an e-mail today that The Cadets need one tuba and one baritone player to replace two recent vacancies, plus a mellophone alternate. Interested potential members are asked to contact Justin Heimbecker at justin@yea.org. There are probably other corps that might need sudden replacements due to injuries, summer school requirements...whatever. Please add to this list and update the current listings as the positions become filled. Be sure to provide contact info if you have it. Since this forum gets the most hits, let's please also post openings for Open Class corps here as well. Mike, maybe you can do a story about the World Class corps that offer spots, 2-3 weeks prior to move in, to kids that have practiced all winter and into the spring with Open Class corps. Maybe a follow up with those directors and then the kids that left those Open Class corps to march with a big name corps. Now that would be some real news.
