Love Emersons piano concerto , needs more. finals ?? will be very hard . Crossmen -Much better , perc.and guard very good. move to much without a pay off. need to clean . good program , needs some music GE. finals ? maybe . Madison -Much better again , nice brass and guard. drill very easy bando-ish drill till ending . yes I said it . But CLEAN and thats the name of the game. perc. hard to notice. finals ? yes ? should stay in the 11-12 range Blue Stars -great visual program , music has lots of tension as a houdini show should . lots of potential , must clean maybe 6- 8th ?? Phantom - great brass sound and book. hard drill not as effective as BS. good perc. program , guard hurts a bit fighting for 6th - 8th also Boston - great opening , some fuzz in brass sound . cleaner than Blue stars , less demand. 9th ?? Bluecoats. all of the above. great brass, guard , perc, pit , program ,drill bari solo with electronics sounded like a toy. ending needs work top 4 ???? Cavaliers - dirty , drill is nice but program is lacking. nice sets but bad transitions. 4-6 th ?? Crown - beginning leaves you speechless. Teal - less guitar was nice. good playing and marching. you'll grow. Spirit - best Spirit show in a long time. hopeful for finals. Crossmen - can't take the arrangements anymore. please stop. love metheny Madison - final 5 minutes are awesome. welcome back to finals. Blue Stars - amazing closer. great rep. visual needs big cleaning. Phantom - amazing music and playing. you deserve better design and instruction. Boston - Shostakovich is dynamite in opener. keep getting that ending together. Cavaliers - when clean this will rock. thanks for FUN music! Bluecoats - sophisticated design and awesome execution. love tubas. don't peak. Crown - favorite music program of the year. make ending more epic. MikeN Posted July 11, 2010 Share Posted July 11, 2010 Defending FoN slightly, I didn't care for Sensemaya last year in Crown's show at all. I realize I'm probably in a minority of one here. Anyways, I think their show needs a bit more punch at the end. It's good, but compared to the rest of the show, it needs to be great. <shrug> Lot of season left, too. MikeN Posted July 11, 2010 Share Posted July 11, 2010 Oh, and I'd say for Blue Stars - it's a nice show, if slightly vanilla on high-cam (can't really tell any detail of the Houdini stuff going on out there) but the synths are hugely overpowering in the video.
