shenandoahsound
CONGRATS .. Shenandoah Sound ... very nicely done.. Keep moving up and forward! See you in Atlanta Thanks. We are moving forward. Just get the guard fully integrated and we have show that we think will be entertaining. Also, thanks to Donel and Excelsior for taking on the task of this show and providing us the opportunity to perform. The facility was fantastic and being able to walk over from the rehearsal field to the stadium is the best.
princessL
Would honestly have to say maybe about 30 people. Maybe 15 or 20 on each side of the tower. You'd think there would have been more with free admission. And people keep referring to this show in Troy. It was in Schenectady. Xsnaredrummer
Congratulations to all the corps.Special kudos to Donel and the Excelsior team for hosting the show. Hopefully the new kids got a taste of what it's about, and Ex can continue to grow. --------- ONWARD AND UPWARD! EX-cellent! Have to say watching the rookies trying to stay cool was fun... Seeing them grow as musicians and their love for this new activity is... inspiring... a fun day for all
stuckvalve
Too bad some of the other CLASS A corps couldn't make it. Hopefully next year the show will grow.
Shenandoah Vibrato
Have to say watching the rookies trying to stay cool was fun... Seeing them grow as musicians and their love for this new activity is... inspiring... a fun day for all All three corps worked hard all day on nice practice fields and put on a great show. My only regret is that all the corps worked so hard all day that we did not socialize as much as I would have liked. I did get to talk to Donel and see her unleashed energy as drum major on the podium. She kept it up all day, and organize the show too? Also my hat is off to the folks who tended to our every needs at the Schenectady High School. They were fantastic!
TomPeashey
Schnectady High School has a long drum corps tradition. Al Hollenbeck, long timed brass judge was band director there for years... the late Charlotte Hoyt (Sunrisers and Bill's ex wife) was a PE teacher and coach there for years... the stadium is very friendly to drum corps... good people... Great job putting the show together, the only regret I have is that I didn't spend enough time with the old timers from X. I here one of your mellophone player is ill. I hope he gets back on the field soon!
