1.) DCP was getting really boring. At one time there were logical, rational, thought provoking discussions about relevant drum corps topics. There were no more "RAMD Catherine-esque" rants, which got people fired up. The "G7" realized that this wasn't good for the activity, so they created the proposal to pi*s off a few vocal minority in DCP and start many threads against them.

2.) The "G7" argument cannot possibly be helped or hindered by anyone in DCP. Noone but the current DCI BOD members can actually DO anything about the G7 proposal ... which again pi*ses off a few DCP posters, and raises their blood pressure.

But I kind of like the nefarious notion of your point No. 1. I think you hit on something there! And the logical, rational thoughts expressed here were obviously a great surprise to the G7! Part of their life's viewpoint is that no-one knows better than them; just look at the last decade or so for proof.

Thanks for explaining how little DCP matters with regard to the G7...by taking the time to post on DCP about the G7.
