kevingamin
First in competition on the field are the Glassmen from Toledo, Ohio. Their 2010 program is entitled "The Prayer Cycle" and consists of: Mercy (from The Prayer Cycle) by Elias, Jonathan Primacy of Number (from Naqoyqatsi) by Glass, Phillip Terminal by Dooley, James Hope (from The Prayer Cycle) by Elias, Jonathan Epiphanies (from Fanfare & Chorales) by Nelson, Ron We’re All Jungle Creatures (from The Lion In Winter) by Barry, John
kevingamin
I counted 70 brass in BDB....YIKES!!!!!THIS should be a World Class corps....and would probably be competitive! While they would easily be able to compete in World Class, there are administrative an organizational considerations which come into play.
kevingamin
Didn't notice that the three guard members on flag to start Glassmen's show have symbols of each major Western religion on their flags. Nice touch. Drum line plays VERY aggressive during the start of the show.
kevingamin
A lot of body movement in the horns while in a large block cross formation. Lines are not straight to start the show. Haven't seen any of these shows from up high this year, so it's interesting to see who marches cleanly tonight.
kevingamin
The corps is playing with a lot of energy. Crowd is responding greatly to that. Great flag toss/catch in the guard while in a block triangle formation!
kevingamin
Great thing about being in 12th place - Finals performance is your chance to let it all hang out and really put the emotion into the performance. That just happened during the middle of Glassmen's show. The section with the four long files moving across the field was INTENSE.
kevingamin
Playing backfield during the ballad is very haunting, with the added effect of the sound coming off the back of the stands.

kevingamin
Visual has improved since the start of the show. There are issues at times, but the cleanliness has picked up. Building to the big horn statement. VERY effective.
