fish66
The Hurricanes score archives list the scores of the 62' Barnum with the Caballeros 1st. with 85.74 and the Hurricanes 2nd. with 82.39.......does anyone out there have the rest of the scores? I doubt it was a 2 corps show, but I can't find info anywhere.......I'll bet Lisko can help!.....thanks
Northern Thunder
For one reason or another those are the only scores I have in my files for the contest too. Perhaps the rest was rained out???

I think that was the year that the I-men beat the Yankee Rebels for third place but, I'm not sure ... I think Syracuse was there as well (but that may have been 61) ... I would get in touch with the Festival's Offices at the Holiday Inn in Bpt ... I think they have an archive of every program book that was published ... I'll look around and see what I can dig up ... sometimes you can search on some old Bridgeport Herald articles for scores ... :-)
audiodb
My files have this taking place on June 30. If that is correct, there was a show in Milford, CT, the same day. Skyliners 87.4 Buccaneers 83.09 Reilly Raiders 82.1 Archer-Epler Musketeers 80.94 Yankee Rebels 80.14 Interstatesmen were in Rochester that day, so they couldn't have done Bridgeport too. Interstatesmen 80.8 Royalaires 74.4 Marksmen 73.8 Gay Blades 65.25 Troubadours 56.65 Maybe this will help jog people's memories.

I just went through my 1962 DCN's and the 62 Barnum was most likely held on July 7th ... (in 63 the Milford show was on June 29th and the Barnum on July 6th) ... the Barnum used to be the final event os a week long festival celebration ... unfortunately, there was no ad in DCN promoting the show and no scores posted in the weeks following ... will keep searching ... Bella Rosa probably has the scores ... :-)

"Fanfare and Allegro" in 63 great stuff...
