noneofyourbusiness
Have not seen anything on here about the new corps projects that were working in OK, KS and MO a while back. Any news on these? Why does it seem so hard for those areas to develop corps? Is it a lack of money, members, interest?
noneofyourbusiness
I guess that the silence answers my questions. Has anybody heard anything about any new corps outside of the northeast this year?
Sayre Kulp
The most noise I've heard has come from Arkansas Thunder. Hopefully they'll get solid footing this year. Sometimes silence isn't all bad. They could be staying off the net and focusing on the actual tasks at hand. Just sayin'...
Chance
Arkansas Thunder had its first full weekend camp this past Saturday and Sunday in Hot Springs, AR. Despite the looming inclement weather, which ended up cutting Sunday's rehearsal short, we had a great turn out in percussion. So far we have a strong line consisting of 5 snares, 3 tenors, 5 basses, 1 cymbal, and 4 to 5 pit. We could still use another cymbal or two. The brass line still needs members, especially those in the middle to lower ranges! Our next camp will be February 12 and 13 starting at 10 am at Cutter Morning Star High School in Hot Springs, AR. If you're interested in marching, come be a part of Arkansas's first corps in over 10 years! Free accommodations will be provided for those who have to travel. camel lips
Sometimes silence isn't all bad. They could be staying off the net and focusing on the actual tasks at hand. Just sayin'... Sometimes????? Maybe. Renegades have been the master of both web presence and stealth mode. I would suggest more times than not a lack of web presence means a lack of a viable competitive corps. Most recently with Crusaders and Brigs. They had minimal postings on the web and now we see why.
