Now, 5 drum corps organizations have the opportunity to receive thousands of dollars and the action that has been taken has been incredibly disappointing! Chase Community Giving is giving out money (FOR FREE) just based on votes and the drum corps community, the hundreds of thousands of us, can't even work together to make sure that these organizations (DCI, YEA!, SCV, BD, and Glassmen) stay at the top! Money can't come any more easy than this! There is 1 more day to vote. And I would only expect that every single person who calls themselves a fan of drum corps would not only vote for ALL 5 organizations, but ALSO ask their friends and families to vote. WE're talking about Hundreds of Thousands of dollars here! FOR FREE! The only thing holding us back is ourselves! Can't we get the drum corps community excited about drum corps again! SPREAD THE WORD! What a great message we can send the world about marching music if ALL OF US worked together and pushed these 5 organizations to the TOP! Enough threads about how this activity will die, ACT to keep marching music marching on!!! No excuses!!! Push to get votes from everyone you know! This competition directly reflects how much we ACTUALLY care about this activity. Where is the passion? Where is the motivation? This opportunity cannot be missed! As a community we need to join together and fight back! At the end we need to say we did as much as we can to give hundred of thousands if dollars to the performing arts and music!!! It is important. Please put down the politics .... the opinions... the disliking of whatever... and just vote for what we love to do and see? We want to make sure that if people are actually willing to vote that they can see the link! I cannot stress enough how this competition is bigger than any petty arguments and debate! Half a million is at stake! Being aggressive is the only way! There will be many thank you's and apologies afterward. But I beg of you... Let's get the organizations out from the bottom!
