KPinCAL
Two options- what do you choose? During any given DCI season you: 1. Can go to any 4 (small) shows in a season. Shows like Michigan City, (One of my all time favorite experiences) Centerville OH (another great show) and so on. You can see parts of the country you have never seen, and get the smaller show atmosphere- most likely getting better seats than finals and paying a lot less to boot... 2. Go to Quarters, Semi's and Finals..... Edited July 30, 2011 by KPinCAL

I also really want to see as many corps as possible and when they are at the very top of their game!
Tito John
Oh, my. No doubt in my mind. Give me the small shows. It's a time to fall in love with some of the lower-ranking corps because they blew you away or played music you know. Then compare them with the one or two big draws. Sitting in the bleachers (complaints about Rockford taken into account and understood), there's something about small shows. I can't completely separate "kid marching" from "great experience," but I enjoyed the smaller outdoor shows much more than the Indy week. Caveat: That's based only on 2009. I saw only the semis in Indy last year.
KPinCAL
Well. since I started the thread I guess I should answer. Choice #1 is an easy one for me. I REALLY love the Midwest and seeing that part of the country. The small-town show and atmosphere is hard to beat. Plus at finals, it's always bittersweet, because you know the season is DONE. Hook'emCavies
I would do choice number two... I would love to see finals someday... and to do that I would have to drive/fly from Texas to Indy. For me personally finals was SA this year.
ajwdad
Easy choice! Local shows. I don't like spending $1000 to travel to Indy. What a magnificent pain in the backside. And it is at least 2 flights. Edited July 31, 2011 by ajwdad
rootofthechord
After experiencing San Antonio from the goal line, I'd prefer to see one or two local shows and get better seats. Same price, probably less traveling, and good enough seats that I can fully enjoy the 5-8 shows I see.
JonW
Hmmmmm... I've got Cedarburg, Whitewater and Madison. Wish I could afford Minneapolis. I've absolutely no desire to go to Indianapolis for any reason. Very happy with the three I can do.
