Jeff Ream
84 SCV comes to mind.... a couple of corps this year. hey SCV has a big...well...kinda loud ending...but it didn't make me jump up. While I find BD visually confusing and distracting to watch, they had some really nice musical moments that weren't jump up and scream, but still reallygood and effective
JulesBry
should? Well....no. I mean say a corps has a down ending...they dont lead to explosions of sound from the crowd. Yet they can be very effective. And if it is truly effective (something I've seen more than once), it will make people want to throw babies. :-) (See Spin Cycle, for example--people were on their feet and yelling so loudly by the end, you can't even hear the final pianissimo "ding" on the highly amplified DVD recordings.) That wasn't "emotional". It was intellectual and/or aesthetic, but people got it and LOVED it. This is one example (by far not the only example) of what I'm talking about. DrumManTx
Demand means nothing if you can't execute it. If you can do some CRAZY a## stuff, all the power to ya, you'll get some more GE composition scores I would think.
