And in first place~
I got back from North Myrtle Beach Saturday night (not thinking drum corps at a beach) and forgot all about Cadets being at Indiana University of PA tonight. Sigh. I am wondering if anyone was there and if so how it went. They were to do their show at 9:30 and I missed it. It was my only chance to see them. Hopefully they did not get rained out. I think they leave for Indy at midnight. If I hurry maybe I can stow away on one of their trucks...
JimF-LowBari
Where the Hell is that???? Kidding as I'm an IUP grad and would be interested in hearing how they handled all the logistics. Considering they also did camp in Johnstown, maybe they should be Cadets of Western PA..... Wow just had a flashback to a guy in my dorm from the Ebensburg Cambria Cadets.... Cadets did camps at UPJ for the last few years. Maybe the last two years anyway. Maybe George can move them to Western PA when they move next. I remember Cambria Cadets very well. In particular, the lovely drum major Carol Englehart. Wonder whatever happened to her. Seems like 98% of the people I knew back then gave up drum corps. I wondered where Cadets were in Johnstown and totally forgot about UPJ. Then again I didn't have a car back then (late 70s) and didn't really get to see Johnstown until a few years ago when I took a long weekend out to J-town and Altoona (and Homer City and Clymer ). I believe she still lives in the Ebensburg area. her brother signed on to DCP a few years ago and I had mentioned her in one of the threads - she was an incredible leader and DM of the Cadets, and was an equally incredible person. always a class act.
