CANDRUMMER
I might be showing my age and perhaps bias but I HATE that word "tech" when it comes to INSTRUCTING!
Stu
I might be showing my age and perhaps bias but I HATE that word "tech" when it comes to INSTRUCTING! The term "tech" (short for technician) as it applies to instructing means: 1: a specialist in the details of a subject or occupation 2: one who has acquired the technique of an art or other area of specialization 3: An expert whose occupation requires training in a specific process 4: One who is known for skill in an intellectual or artistic technique So, the term you HATE is actually honorable! By the way, some people also HATE the term "pit" when it is a positive term coined to identify the orchestra occupying the sunken space (ie the pit) in front of a stage. Also an honorable designation. Edited November 21, 2011 by Stu
