CitBos
I hate to admit it, but I have been slacking on this a bit... Been kinda busy. But I am pleased to see that both Feenicks and INT are still doing very good and holding their own. Now that we're past the halfway mark in the season, I just wanna wish a "good luck" to everyone else in the rest of the season. /my niceness, begin my "mean" streak
StarOrg
Mitch and I have been poring over my caption spreadsheet, and it looks like another wide, wide open year. We've found SEVEN World Class caption sets within 0.1 of the max (the max we've discovered so far, at least), and SIX Open Class caption sets within 0.1 of the max (we've found so far). Class A is a little tighter, but we've still found six sets within 0.25 of the max so far. With the generated scores during championships, it's anybody's ballgame once again. Highest caption set doesn't always win (Polaris has had the--or one of the, if tied--highest caption set each of the past two winter seasons, but still is searching for that elusive gold). I can't look anymore.... ... yeah all kinds of options out there. ACK! I booched one of my captions - selected the wrong year! Been there done that Jon! Galen
Today's events: The good times will be rolling as southern corps travel to Covington LA, a suburb of New Orleans. The tall stands of Covington HS will be the battlefield as a mix of corps jockey for position. The first of two western-based shows takes place on the high plains of Laramie WY at Deti Stadium. And the second takes place at Yukon HS on the outskirts of Oklahoma City.
Galen
There was a bit of a glitch when getting tonight's scores entered. The higher scores are correctly listed on the recap sheets. For clarity's sake, here are tonight's scores: Covington LA World Staffordshire Regiment: 85.025 Roselle Park Conquistadors: 84.95 Open The Sinfonians: 81.07 Hurricanes: 81.00 Chicago Enforcers: 80.265 Storm Troopers: 78.81 Majestic2: 78.385 Class A The Thoroughbreds: 76.9 Majestic3: 76.345 Laramie WY World The Stud Bolts: 87.91 Crimson Lions: 86.362 Avengers: 84.285 Open The Screws: 81.805 Class A The Bolts: 77.335 Mysteria: 75.42 Oklahoma City OK World Polaris Regiment: 88.695 The Elite Brigade: 87.8 Quiksilver: 86.855 Redcoat Regiment: 85.55 Iron Knights: 84.8 Majestic: 80.9 Open Oregon Marauders: 82.2 Tampa Bay Storm: 81.85 Oostburg Barnstormers: 81.8 Riverside Elite: 81.6 Mercury: 80.59 Quilt Cadets: 80.225 Crimson Lancer Cadets: 78.985 Also, just a reminder to all directors to use ALL of the caption points that you have available to you. If you're a new director and may be confused as to why your scores might be potentially lagging behind, check your caption roster to make sure that you're using the full spread allocated to you. CitBos
I have a complaint! I was just looking at the overall scores/rankings for World Class, and saw that Crimson Lions are in first place. Not's no major problem to me (I'd rather Feenicks be in first, though ), but what I do have a problem with is the fact that their score is a 127.295 Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the scores were out of 100 possible points? Hey! The recap had me with a 163+... so I lost 36 points somewhere. Wonder if I can save that score for finals, hehe! (A glitch gave me that monster show, my actual score was an 86.3)
