What is a cookie you might ask? It is a reward for those who get the closest prediction of every show (some know what I am talking about ). So what are the rules? Rules - You only have to predict the top 2 scores of the night (until we get to G8 events and Regional Events, then we bump up to top 5). - The person closest to the actual spread gets the most points Ex. 10 people enter, closest gets 10 points, next is 9, and so on. - No editing after 7:30 P.M. EST (look below for other time zones) - Guessing a score dead on = .5 bonus - Finals night 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place predictors will receive the following bonuses: 1st: 10 cookies 2nd: 5 cookies 3rd: 3 cookies Reminder Remember this is just for people who want to have fun predicting every night, and don't get your panties in a twist if you don't like this game. You don't have to play, but everyone is welcome! FOR EVERY NIGHT POST YOUR PREDICTIONS IN THIS THREAD. PUT A DATE ON THE TOP, AND EVENT TOO. Ex: Atlanta, GA Southeastern DCI Championship: 7/30/11 1. Cavaliers - 94.2 2. In the case of a tie, correct corps win over wrong corps. If there is still a tie, both people get the max points. (ex. Scores would be 5 4 3 3 1 since there was a tie they take the 2nd spot too) Correct Corps Scores and Spread is 20 points Correct Spread is 5 points. Correct Corps score is 2.5 points. Bigger Events: For the bigger events listed below, the following scoring system is used: -Predict scores for top 5 -Give spread from 1st to 5th -List corps 6-12 for bonus -Ability to wager up to 10 points on corps 6-12 placement. For example: FaustianMachine goes into Minneapolis with a score of 120.5. They decide to wager 18 of their points total on the placements of corps 6-12. What they predict (and format for prediction): 1st-5th as normal Spread as normal 06th: Bluecoats (1.5) 07th: The Cavaliers (3.0) 08th: Madison Scouts (7.0) 09th: Boston Crusaders (0.5) 10th: Spirit of Atlanta (4.0) 11th: Glassmen (0.5) 12th: Crossmen (1.5) *Where the numbers in () notates the amount of points they are wagering per corps What ends up happening: 06th: The Cavaliers 07th: Bluecoats 08th: Madison Scouts 09th: Glassmen 10th: Boston Crusaders 10th: Spirit of Atlanta 12th: The Academy FaustianMachine would end up losing a total of 7 from 6th, 7th, 9th, 11th, and 12th, but would gain 11 points from 8th and 10th. Therefore a total of 4 points would be added to their score from this round, in addition to the points from 1st-5th.
