Some Random Drummer
Some Random Drummer: VERY NICE reviews. You give props to the kids, and yet you critique in a very positive manner. Thank you! Hah, I'm just a newbie giving my thoughts. But thanks!! Scores will be up in just a bit. The Classic Cavaliers had a good performance, and they ended it by presenting The Cavaliers with a $2000 check to help out the cause. Really awesome. Encore by the Classic Cavaliers. Really cool to see people sticking with what they love for so long. I'm assuming the scores will come before The Cavaliers do their encore? But I don't see any drum majors yet.
CrownMom081112
Do you know where Crown is heading tonight? I think Bluecoats are heading to WI, but not for sure. Crossing to the East. Staying in Guys Mills PA

CrownMom081112
It's hard to say enough good things about Carolina Crown's show. Say what you will about this being a disappointing year for drum corps, Crown doesn't seem to be listening!! They got the second largest standing O of the night before their show was even over. The largest, of course, was when they finished. The entire production just has a scope and feel to it that surpasses anything else we've seen tonight. The timpani and bass drums on their respective sides of the field, and in the back, seem like a small detail, but they add a massiveness that is truly impressive. (Aided and abetted, of course, by the fireworks in the background.) They should take all the captions tonight. Their battery was intense and tight, and the brass was powerful. I'm on the left-hand side of the stands, but they had more volume than any other corps so far, even with the entire brass section right of the 50 yard line. I can't wait for this show to meet up with BD and SCV. Crown is making a run for first place this year. Edit - Also, the cream uniforms WORK! Last up is our host, The Cavies. Thanks for being our eyes and ears when we can't go to shows across the country!! Beautiful review!
CrownBariDad
Haha, it does get confusing! They are traveling east the next few days.....stopping in PA and UMass before Tuesdays Bristol competition, I join them on Monday!! Have fun! My wife is sorry she's going to miss the parades out East. Crown and all the Corps always do a great job, have a lot of fun, and make lots of friends.
