Tragedy in the BD family

Recommended Posts

A little over a year ago, Jay Sirat -- son of former Crossmen and Blue Devils snare Robb Sirat (BD center snare 84-85) -- suicided after trying to wean himself off bath salts...a drug so new many people aren't aware of it...and it doesn't show on drug tests.

One of his local TV stations in Las Vegas did a piece on bath salts, featuring Robb and his son.

Please spread this around on your various web boards, Facebook, etc.

I marched with Robb in 84, and I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child....for those on the outside, it's all the worse when it's a friend.

Oh my... I saw and read this story this morning. I had NO idea he was the son of one of our own...

I've also had addiction touch my family so closely, and it takes on a life of its own. God bless his family during this awful time.

Rob was actually the percussion tech at my high school, and I knew some of his kids quite well (including his son). They are a wonderful family, and it was a great tragedy. They are trying to get the word out there in an effort to heal, something I find to be very admirable through the difficult times.
