DeepSouthDCI
When I marched not too long ago, getting reception on the bus at night was really spotty. Absolutely no time during the day. Also, much better stuff goin on on the bus after a show than a call to mom. I mean sleep... of course...
fsubone
I would text almost every day, just to check in and see how things are going both at home and for me on tour. I'm an only child though, so I've always had a really close relationship with my family. I would call every other day or so, usually in the break between rehearsal and getting on the bus. I was a bus loader, so would always have my stuff done and ready to go before everyone else, so I found some more free time. I just liked talking to them, and letting them know how tour was going. And that was all three years, not just my first or last year.
drumcorpsfever
Cavaliers used to have a "no cell phone" policy, I believe. Is that accurate? If so, do they still restrict cell phone usage?
