Cron
This has been one of the BEST threads I've ever read on this board. We get so bogged down here about this show or that and nitpicking every little thing, which is fine, it's what we do, but it is very nice to be reminded of the thing that brings all here in the first place. You've captured what I've often struggled to put into words. The world may never understand our craziness, but at least, at the core, most of us are on the same page. Jim Alberty
Yeah, it's a disease, alright. The only cure is getting shot. I think this is why guards have rifles .... J
DeanInChicago
Beautiful words. I get a double whammy this time of year. It is both the end of the DCI season, and our JCC summer camps. Over 4000 kids at our summer camps said good-bye on Friday, August 10, as did 1000 seasonal employees. Then it's a quick trip to Finals. I move on to other treats, but none leaves me with an empty heart like the end of another DCI season: Aug: baseball at US Cellular and Wrigley Field for White Sox and CUBS games Sep: Chicago Fringe Festival Oct: Saturday Indiana high school band contests Nov: Milwaukee's Art vs Crafts Fair Dec: Christmas cards from scratch Jan: Chicago college basketball at Loyola and North Park Feb: Columbia Dance Center programs, on S Michigan Ave Mar: Madness Apr: New York to see new crop of shows May: annual Yellowstone and Troopers Bingo trip
