kevingamin Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 Pretty fast paced opener. Drill has the corps moving a lot. Contra soloist now.Very jazzy opener. Guard soloist on the 30 in white dress and brilliant pink hair. The show has a great Mardi Gras persona. Quote
Brent Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 The storm is approaching. colorguard using black to gold gradiated flags. Nice touch with the sheet metal as thunder. Quote

kevingamin Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 The soloist from the start of the show is now on the DM podium. Other DM is backfield on the 40 conducting the corps. Tempo is down now. Nice mello solo to end that second piece. Female DM is now doing some voodoo magic, apparently, to call in a storm. The mello soloist pulled out an umbrella, just in case. Quote
Todd Tanji Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Today's Schedule: Class A: 2:00 Excelsior 2:17 Shenandoah Sound 2:34 Cincinnati Tradition 2:51 Sunrisers 3:08 White Sabers 3:25 Windsor Regiment 3:42 Carolina Gold 3:59 Govenaires Open Class: 4:41 Renegades 4:58 Bushwackers 5:15 Kilties 5:32 Atlanta CV 5:49 Fusion Core 6:06 Empire Statesmen 6:23 Kidsgrove Scouts Break 7:05 Cadets2 7:22 Hurricanes 7:39 Minnesota Brass 7:56 Caballeros 8:13 Buccaneers Quote
kevingamin Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 Drum line up front, horns behind them. After playing together, the horns get "blown away" by the storm and the drum line gets a feature. Quote
kevingamin Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 Pretty intense feature, Shenandoah. I definitely hear the Robert W. Smith in this composiion. 1 Quote
Brent Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 nice job coming out of the drum feature with a rotating block and colorguard changing tops and presenting black flags with lightning bolts. drumline is solid. horns are in a company front going from the 40 YL to 50 YL pushing the drumline "storm" away. 1 Quote

kevingamin Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 Contra soloist again during the closer. Horns and drums doing a half time company front facing backfield as a soprano and mello play up front with the contra. They turn around about half way and finish the show, coming forward individually to hit the crowd with their sound. Quote
