DCA Should Limit and Standardize Pit Size

Recommended Posts

Jeff;

You may add:

You have people in the first 5 or more rows, and the Disabled seating area, that get to "See and Hear", not much more than the Pit.

(and as we know DCA uses a lot of smaller stadiums. You may be talking about 1/4 of your "Paying Fans in the Stands".)

I was on the edge of the field at Secaucus and could barely hear our pit 40 feet away. The open back venue with the turnpike noise in back of the field even had the judges in the press box struggling to hear the pit.

that's an issue yes, and please don't take offense, but as that is probably a smaller percentage of the paying audience than you want to admit, that's probably not an overriding concern

A couple of years ago when Empire did the Wizard of Oz/Wicked/Wiz show if you didn't sit inside the 35's you couldn't see what was going on fully. Shows are not designed these days for anyone no matter where they sit. It's not just sitting down in the front rows....
