Spandy
LED lights have made their way to DCA last weekend. I don't have pictures, but Atlanta CV's guard is using lit rifles, making for a very cool effect! MN Brass had working headlights on the Bonnie and Clyde car last year... worked well at prelims with the CO2 smoke just hanging above the field. There were also strobes going off during the shooting scene, but I don't think that was as visible. In DCA I believe the rule is lights are fine as long as they are battery powered. Question about lights in DCI though... If a corps were going for multi-light or multi-color effects, can those be controlled remotely by a staff member like soundboards are currently? acordell
Here is one of the videos they have linked to the above FB page. This group has integrated lighting everywhere. The best performance with lights to date is (IMO).
mrjaydub
Last year's BOA Grand Nationals had these LEDs everywhere. It was cool for the first couple of bands, but then it got annoying real quick. WCU did an exhibition and had their drumline lit up. Dan Potter interviewed them after - explains how it's done. Kennesaw HS was a bit overkill, I thought.
