Fran Haring
i haven't been there since the late 70's. can't remember how big the place is. From what I understand, it's basically a new stadium now. Not the old Manning Bowl we remember.
Fran Haring
So, about another 45 minutes until they are done :)
grenadasmoothie
OMG that was sooooooooo freakin' wicked loud! Both Cabs corps, about 120 horns. And 35 rifles out front!
Fran Haring
Manning Bowl... 1981. We (Sun) won the Boston Cup show that night. However... the mellophone/French horn duet I was a part of in "Late in the Evening" didn't go so well that evening. LOL. The mellophone player and I both... well... sucked that night. By far our worst performance of the duet all season, even counting rehearsals. We gacked that thing beyond all comprehension at the Lynn show. So, of course our corps wins the show... and the whole corps wants to listen to the judges' tapes. Over... and over... and over... including, of course, the frackfest. Go figure. Fran Haring
Congratulations to the winners, and to all the corps for their efforts!!! Safe travels next weekend to the corps heading to the Downingtown show... in particular Minnesota Brass, making the long trip East!
