kevingamin
The corps uniform has a dark green jacket with black pants, a stripe of red diagonally from right shoulder to left hip. The green is dark enough to be almost the same color as the pants.
kevingamin
Pit interlude to start the second selection. Horns begin playing backfield as a baritone soloist plays front.
kevingamin
Very nice build by the horns into the climax of the song, forming a large arc as they do so.
kevingamin
Faster tempo now, feels like a soundtrack, building tension and growing in volume. Nice dischord, horns!
kevingamin
Pictures at an Exhibition now, a Vanguard classic. The Vanguard Cadets have done a great job of incorporating classic musical selections from their A corps brethren.
kevingamin
Horns and guard have formed two groups on either side of the 50. Drums playing a very subdued solo in between them.
kevingamin
My view of the field.
kevingamin
Vanguard Cadets were playing Hut of Baba Yaga, by the way.
kevingamin
And now Adagio for Strings, also played by the A corps in 2000 AND by THE Cadets this year.
kevingamin
Drums playing a military cadence facing backfield as the horns build into Promise of Living. Drums turn front as horns form a curvelinear set, then flatten it out into a company front, pushing forward to build into the big hit of the piece.
