kevingamin
Unfortunately, no powder effect tonight as the corps comes running onto the field, escaping the catastrophe which triggers this show.
kevingamin
The corps is lying on the field, slowly rising up as a lone soloist plays. We go into high gear right away, though. I have to say, the gray uniforms are actually striking, especially when you expect that red.
kevingamin
Nice drill moment, going from chaotic randomness to a company front as the corps builds to an impact. Drum line up front now. Flags look like flames, another reference to disaster.
kevingamin
Nice horn runs up and down the line before resolving to a chord.
Kamarag
I there's a "most improved" corps award given for progress over the summer, Boston is your clear winner. What I saw in early July was a complete disaster, but you could see the potential. They pulled it off.
kevingamin
Our first hint of Conquest as we head to the finish of the opener.
KPinCAL
Boston's best drumline ever.

kevingamin
We start to see hints of red on the corps, both in the featured guard soloist and in some of the uniforms. The Falling Slowly melody is haunting. Added to that is a great visual moment with half the horn line leaning on the feet of the other half who are lying on the field. The Stand By Me moment is also very haunting, almost reverent in nature. Drum line has broken the mood and has now come forward for their feature. The same could be said of Blue Knights who didn't even have their full show ready in time for DCI West after having to evacuate their spring training site due to wildfires in the area.
