skywhopper Posted August 19, 2013 Share Posted August 19, 2013 1 Crown 2 Vanguard (I think they were far underscored in Music and Visual GE) 3 Cadets 4 Blue Devils (I personally don't understand the high visual GE/analysis scores, but more importantly I think they were overscored in Music Analysis and GE) 5 Phantom Regiment 6 Bluecoats (intriguing design, great but underutilized brass) 7 Boston 8 Madison 9 Cavaliers (nice visual design, but never clean, and their brass was a huge letdown this year) 10 Spirit 11 Blue Knights (great First Circle, too much other narration) 12 Troopers (sorry Blue Stars) 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Maybe you don't even read your own posts that you post, who knows. Nothing against the Crossmen, but I really don't think the vast majority of fans believe that they were better than Crown. theCHEZman Posted August 19, 2013 Share Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) Based on design, demand and performance at finals CROWN- despite percussion weakness compared to others this year, still the best overall show. Appealing to both judges and fans is difficult to do and they did. CADETS-most visually demanding show and performed well. Cream pants hide nothing vs the others in the top 4. Winning the music caption demonstrates this corps extreme proficiency. BD- great performance and no weak captions. Over rated in Guard and Visual GE. This put them over Cadets. GE caption judges need balls. SCV- beautiful show but no where near the depth and demand of above 3. I would have had them scored much closer to Bluecoats than Cadets. BlOO- excellent corps and show. Would have had them much closer to SCV in score. PR CAVIES-closer to PR in score.
