crfrey71
So I have expanded on this on Facebook and will state it here, as well. I think the most ridiculous scoring on the sheets is the Rep. (Content). I am tired of the Rep./Ach. scores of 9.7/9.7 where it almost always is the same identical scores between rep. and achievement? If most of the book is out there at the beginning of July, then why do the rep scores continue to go up inline with the achievement scores? Shouldn't there be a big discrepancy between Rep. and Ach. scores at the beginning of the season, with Rep. way ahead of Achievement? Then, as the summer progresses, the Achievement scores start to catch up? My biggest problem is how the ordinal of these Rep. scores fluctuate somehow. Yes! Shows get changes to the writing and I expect the number to fluctuate a but, but in reality, those changes are a very small percentage of the whole pie.

The stock answer is as the show cleans, the rep will become clearer and will be able to be rewarded more. That being said, I agree with you. More or less. The system as it stands will only allow credit for rep that is achieved. You get nothing for merely the attempt, which would have to be the case if the system was as crfrey71 suggests. jjeffeory
That might make sense from a visual standpoint, but a music book is a music book. Works with music too. If a passage is muddled, it may not be clear what's supposed to be there. As the articulation cleans up, the rep might be enhanced and score more points. whitedawn
No one really knows what general effect is.
jjeffeory
Understand, but wouldn't that affect the GE moreso? The captions are so mixed up. I wouldn't be surprised if it affects the guard scores. It's just the logic that's being used today by those happy with the current outcomes. When you can justify and defend things rationally, it doesn't matter. ( This is just my jaded perspective of the judging). This is, as we all know, a subjective activity. That might make sense if the judges had the score to look at, but they don't. They can go only on what they hear.
