George Dixon
Hopkins on facebook a bit ago: Well c2 is on in an hour Their accomplishment this year has been spectacular . As always the goal for a drum corps is to be in the mix as championships arrive They did that :-) and more Tonight is about a great performance and the reaction of the judges. Regardless the outcome we will stand at attention , out of respect for our competitors and in recognition of the many years of Cadets that have preceded C2 In many ways this experience is more enjoyable than the Cadets. Being weekend only the corps can breath , the outcome is not life and death and the rehearsals are a combination of intensity and fun These kids love c2 and that love allowed them to take a good show and make it great . Many of these kids have never been this good anywhere and that joy in their eyes when the Crowd erupted last night was a gift to see. It was nothing short of amazing These kids were fabulous all day today I really do expect the performance pf a lifetime tonight Congrats c2 - all of you from the bus driver to the donor and all in between It's really more than words can describe Hop

kevingamin
That's a very difficult transition from First Circle playing backfield and the percussion up front playing the intro into Third Wind, totally different tempos. The front drum major has to count off the brass AS SOON AS they turn around to get them to line up. It took me two viewings to understand how that worked. Serious sound from the horns! Wow! kevingamin
Guard is looking great on flag. All staged on side one. Horn line is throwing down on the end of Third Wind.

kevingamin
Drum line has been ramming throughout the entire performance of Heat of the Day. Very intense. Cadets2 energy level is full out.
kevingamin
Guard is on fire as well, even during Both Sides Now. Full out emoting and their equipment work is spot on.
