LoveKathyG
I'm headed to finals for the first time in over a decade this year, and I am pretty clueless about the storylines, symbols, and references in all the shows. Is there a warehouse of info about all or some of the shows that I can read up? A 2022 Drum Corps Shows for Dummies, if you will? Thanks! tedrick
probably the best thing to do would be to watch recent shows that are on youtube - no one really publishes a show blurb/synopsis any more... But it's intermission and I haven't done anything all day so here is a quick run down Blue Devils - pretty standard stuff - bright, happy, enjoyable Boston Crusaders - dark and angst-filled Carolina Crown - campy, happy Bluecoats - somewhat dark/sinister - very good levels of performance SCV - dark, mysterious - Cadets - interesting story, happy Blue Stars - interesting but somewhat obscure story - not easy to follow - music somewhat dark Cavaliers - not up to their usual self Phantom - very enjoyable - classic drum corps sound and visual Mandarins - dark, otherworldly Colts - nice show, sophisticated, not overly dark, great drumline Crossmen - nice show - very nice hornline, happy music

The pinned 2022 Official Programs & Playlist post is probably the closest thing to a warehouse of info. It includes show repertoire and links (when applicable) to corps' show announcements. Some announcements are more descriptive than others. Edited August 3, 2022 by brassboy
