kiltiesdrumguy
The Yamaha carriers are pretty uncomfortable, who makes a better harness for older fatter guys?
theneo
the new pearl tubes, and yamaha makes them now, are extremely comfy, peace
immortal
i prefer the T-bar for quads for the extra space to move around with.. the vests are mkore comfterbal for snare and since you have but 1-3 playing positions that makes it better in my opinion... Cypress
May carrirs are the best out there, but they too are made for the average person. They have lots of adjustments, shoulder width, shoulder to back, breast width, upper body length, belly plate, drum tilt, drum in and out and angle. Hope that helps. Snapettes Mom
I've been marching 2 1/2 miles every other day with my Reel Feel pad on top for extra weight and playing big phat endurance rolls. I don't even notice my vest anymore. Mom
MikeN
So what are some good "big person" snare carriers? Our pipe band ain't full of youngsters, and our T-bars are hurting in a big way... Mike
Tristan
the new pearl tubes, and yamaha makes them now, are extremely comfy, peace point of order...those carriers are exactly the same, because pearl and yamaha don't make them. They're made by the Randall May corporation, who makes the carrier, then slaps a pearl or a yamaha sticker on it, along with the appropriate drum attachment. I've heard XL carriers are pretty nice as well (they're what the cavies use) though I don't have any personal experience with them.

theneo
i know that may makes them i think its easier to find them if u go to those specific sites(pearl of yamaha)
CrownMcNeal
Pearl tubes (yamaha now too) are sweet. I've heard good things about XL but never tried 'em. Tubes are sweetness, though.
