vegasboi84
Why we're they boo'ed at finals in 2001?
MikeN
Because the crowd felt they should have been higher than they were - they were booing the placement; not the corps. I can see arguments for and against where they ended up. From a fan who's not breaking it down caption-by-caption, they were friggin' on fire musically. Visually, they weren't as crisp as many of the corps above them, though. I still love to listen to that show... Mike
Jared_mello
I loved the hornline...one could could play loud, PRESS, play soft, and have some AWESOME soloists to get the crowd on their side. Great repertoire, too. Some release problems...ESPECIALLY right before the sop soloists entrance in Ballet in Brass, the mellophones just completely drop the phrase; sounds awful. Other than that though, I really enjoyed that hornline. They weren't horrible visually....just not great at all. I loved the drill in the last minute or so, though....and the opener wasn't bad either. Guard and percussion were also a problem, from what I've heard. Galen
The crowd might also have been booing because they dropped a spot finals night.
Tank
Yeah, it seems that no matter where Madison ends up in the placements, it's never high enough for the crowd.
