SBrancheau Posted August 2, 2004 Share Posted August 2, 2004 Okay, so I had the chance on Saturday to look at 1980 again on DVD...sigh, I know, I have no life... I watched the Top 4...BD, Lancers, Bridgemen, Spirit...and tried to look at each show objectively...without my personal bias. I'll say this: I was wrong. BD should have won. Somebody on the board said that they were like glass: clean and smoooooooooooth. Yep, yep, yep. It was just close to perfection. Not really an emotionally charged show, but you can't deny the evidence: BD deserved to win. I do think Lancers were cleaner than Bridgemen by far, and the point spread should have been bigger between the two. 2-7's guard book ALONE should have vaulted them over the Bridgemen.
