kansasDC
We almost always stopped at McD's because we had several members that worked at McD's on L.I. who would jump behind the counter and help. The owners loved the free help, and it moved us through faster.
Lancerlady
Any place that wasn't serving Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches! Even a rest area with vending machines was good for us! :) But every time our buses broke down, while they were working on it, we'd make a mad dash to whatever was close! :)
Malibu
We never had to eat in a fast food resturant while on tour. When we had a free day, we would eat in a nice resturant. There was a nice resturant in San Francisco (Torantinos???) we ate at while we were on the west coast. We walked in with shorts on while the waiter was in a black tux with white gloves. They served us but you should have seen the people staring at us! :sshh: Edited December 8, 2004 by Malibu

dc oldtimer
That's right, Mitch!!!Right after the Quartermaster gave you $4.00 for lunch!!!!! :) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I sprinted to Ponderosa during lunch break at Buffalo Grove practices. It would be 20 below with 5 feet of snow on the ground but I would still be the first one there!
