apoch003
No offense guys, but we're all naming corps that were champions. I marched in the Argonauts from 1980 to 1987. Remember Blackwatch? The Spartans? The Marauders? I feel so left out... :(

BDguardsman
didn't the argonauts become a youth band in the early 90's? Yep I remember the Argonauts, and I know many people that remember the argonauts. You don't have to feel left out. :)

Jimisback
Didn't Maynard Furgeson march Blackwatch? I think he mentioned that in 1979 when he hosted DCI.

You did variations on Wipeout as a percussion warm up. I definately remember The Balckwatch. Those were all Pacific Northwestern corps, weren't they? Do you remember the Knight Raiders from Campbell California? Mike Braga SCV 1973 - 1975 Anaheim Kingsmen 1976 - 1978 SCV TOR 2004
argonaut
Didn't the Flamingos become the Argonauts? I rember the Black Watch and the Marauders. I remeber being beat by the Black Watch on our first show in 1975. As for the Drum instructor named Ghost. I last saw him in was in the late 80's in a percussion group at a performance in Porland, Or. Ghost made some of the insturments they played. I wonder what ever happened to him? Had a great brass sound. Argonauts had the infamous fruit stripe gum uni's. Sorry, but one of the worst uni's in history but a great corps. If I remember Blackwatch had some of the coolest Kiltie type unis with a big black plume. Marauders, chicks in pirate uni's with hip boots B).
