Well....It wasn't really the St. Paul Scouts that formed with (what we called Hi- Lex)

St. Francis. They were already called the St. Paul Drum and Bugle Corps and became the much hated Blue Knights. I wonder what ever happen to the drips that marched with Hi Lex.(named after the bleach).

Hey Bob!

The 'Drips' actually hung around awhile..When Stan 'Rigid' Jadwinski marched with MBI in the early 80's, he and his wife Vicki donned the costumes for one of Gary Grose's Halloween parties..NOBODY could guess who it was, and man, was it funny to see those old heavy costumes in public again!

For all of you non-Minnesotans..HiLex was a company that made chlorine bleach, and sposored a corps for years. The 'Drips' were plaster cast costumes worn for parades and PR functions, kinda like the Hamm's Bear and the Green Giant costumes (though Green Giant never sponsored a corps that I know of).

Uncle Z: Any idiot should know that the merger of the Thunderbolts and St. Pat's became 'The Thing'...evolving into the Pioneer.

How's this Z?

#11. Royal Chevaliers

#15. Seneca Optomists (they made Finals in '77 didn't they?)

#19. North Star (?)

I know some of the others, but they're listed for other brain cramp geezers like me. I don't want to upset anyone..

Pat
