Walter
Hey Uncle Z: I know I got three right for sure: 8. Etobicoke Oakland Crusaders (DCI Fianlist in 75-6th, 76-8th) 14. Kitchener Lions Northstars (the Official name of the corps, better know as the Northstars -note the spelling, and it's one word to be politically correct but who care about that?) (27th in 1977 and 32nd in 1978) The night the merger was announced at the 1976 Canadian Nationals in Waterloo, we were getting lined up for retreat, you all remember retreats right?, when the two corps Flying Dutchmen and Dutch Boy Cadets lined up the look on the Crusaders and Optimists faces was priceless. We were the longest corps with 75 horns 60 drums and 60 colour guard, If only THAT Incident hadn't happened...... 15. Seneca Optimists (DCI finalist in 76 and 77) 16. Buckeye State Cabelleros I have 2 questions for you Uncle Z: What was the average life span for each of these corps? Do mergers really work or do they just delay the inevidile(sp)?
