byline
The question on my mind is why didn't Seneca and O-C merge???They did... sort of.... when Seneca folded in 79, alot of their members came to Oakland to march, as did alot of members from Cardinals of Precious Blood, who also folded in 79. This is true. I hung out with a few of the Seneca people, and I don't think I fully appreciated at the time how hard it was for them. I think it was also hard on the Cardinals people, but it didn't seem to be as bitter a pill to swallow as it was for many of the Seneca people. Not only had their beloved corps folded, but they also had to choose whether or not to bury the hatchet and march with their cross-town rival. Because by that time, we were the only show in town. And the transfusion of new personnel saved Oakland that year. The whole experience must've been terribly ironic for them.
